It's funny what people will and won't comment on. It's funny that, sometimes, things are so serious no one wants to tackle them. Especially not on a Monday morning. I don't blame anyone, but it sort of makes one wonder if that's the whole reason we're in this mess we're in.

The funny thing, to me, is the belief that no one cares - that we're all so dispassionate it hurts. Maybe we are but what do you expect when you put a tub of peanut butter ice cream in someone's lap and set them in front of daytime tv. Do you really suppose it'll be no short time before they get up, go out of the a/c, and start digging that ditch?

Come on people. Peanut Butter Ice Cream is goood.

If there was one, two, three sticks poking at our asses then maybe we'd be doing something about it. If the Nazi's were dragging away our children or the Pharoh was killing us in the streets.. maybe we'd perk up a bit and look interested.

But if you steal pennies from a millionaire, will he notice?

When you're so busy spending dollars, you'll never miss a penny.

But, to paraphrase Everett Dirksen, "a penny here, a penny there - soon it adds up to real money".

It's just that soon will be too late, and we'll be paupers in the street when we figure it all out..

maybe.
