It looks like that whole meth-madness nonsense in
NewsWeek really got under the skin of the folks at Slate. After the
first article I mentioned a few days ago, which played up the "mass media are scarmongering freaks" angle, they're back at with
a new one delving deeper into the "meth mouth" phenomenon, showing us that just because
NewsWeek cooked it, that doesn't mean we should eat it:
None of the [More than two dozen different stories about meth mouth found through a Nexis search] blaming "contaminated" methamphetamine for meth mouth cite any literature or authority, perhaps because it doesn't exist.
