I'm no civil war buff but I can throw around terms like
emancipation proclamation and
Mason-Dixon line.. which is probably just enough to draw me into
this little youtube video - that displays the relative territories of the south and the north over the entire civil war, in 4mins and 24secs. Layed out like this, it is a lot easier to see things like Sherman's march to the sea and the nearly bloodless Battle for New Orleans for what they were: split the defenses, fracture the enemies, drive out the heathens.
